This is the Tema-Accra motorway. This is a high-speed highway. There is no crossing guard or stoplight or anything permitting them to cross. They pray to their ancestors for courage, shut their eyes and take their chances at the expense of losing their lives and causing accidents. They do this on other roads too. You’ll find people literally 2 feet away from pedestrian crossings, and they choose to not use them. You’ll hardly find roads in Ghana that don’t have a bunch of potholes, assuming they are even paved in the first place.
